Youth say NO to Violence against Women 2 : The Symposium

The Government of Tanzania has made the commitment to ending VAW in Tanzania. With this goal in mind, VAW priorities have been integrated into national development plans, including the National Strategy for Growth and the Reduction of Poverty in Tanzania (NSGRP or MKUKUTA). In addition, the Government of Tanzania has ratified and is committed to upholding the international Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Violence Against Women (CEDAW). Further to this, the Ministry for Community Development, Gender, and Children (MCDGC) is also implementing a National Plan of Action for the Prevention and Eradication of Violence Against Women and Children.

YUNA Tanzania at EARMUN:The follow-up interview

In August more than 35 members from YUNA Tanzania went to Kampala, Uganda, to participate in this year East Africa Regional Model United Nation (EARMUN). During four days 150 participants from three East African countries discussed and developed solutions to global issues in a simulated UN setup.
